I went to Stamford Hill in Hackney which is home to the largest Hasidic Jewish community in Europe.
It is definitely a change of scene and it almost feels like we either traveled in another country or even through time.

Tuesday 19th July 2022 was the hottest day in British history. I went to Granary Square near King’s Cross St Pancras to capture scenes at the fountains inspired by the classic fire hydrants photographs of New York summers.

Very diverse and cosmopolitan, those areas of Paris are not considered as tourists spots. The African and Caribbean communities have many small businesses down there and it is quite busy on Saturdays with the market and the barbershops.

One thing I didn’t know was that the Gay Pride was taking place that day, and that brought a ton of colourful shots with all those rainbows and dressing up!

I wanted to share with you a nice spot in Hackney East London where a nice market takes place.
It’s a black-owned market where traders and food stalls are contributing to one of the sweetest vibe in town!

We are going through a few photowalks in Martinique, a French Caribbean island where I’m from. In this last episode of that serie in Martinique, we are on the northwestern side of the island. Le Carbet is one of the last place where fishermen still practice the traditional seine fishing technique or “koud senn”. I’ve been willing to capture this for a while and finally made it happen.
